An assistant sub-inspector of police was on Tuesday suspended after a video exhibiting 5 cops, together with a lady residence guard, in uniform dancing to the tunes of a preferred Odia music inside a police station in Odisha’s Jajpur district has gone viral on social media, an officer mentioned.


In the video, the faces and uniforms of the dancing police personnel are smeared in colors whereas different workers of the Panikoili police station are seen clapping and cheering the 5.

The incident which violated guidelines might have taken place on the event of the Holi competition, Superintendent of Police Rahul PR mentioned.

ASI Sanjay Dash was positioned underneath suspension after preliminary inquiry, he mentioned.


“We have launched a probe and motion can be taken in opposition to the opposite police personnel concerned within the incident on the idea of the inquiry report,” the SP mentioned.
