Cong. begins ‘100 not out’ protest against petrol price hike

Congress on Friday started protests against petrol price hike in Bengaluru and different components of the State beneath the banner “100 not out.”

Meanwhile, Home and Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Basavaraj Bommai deplored the bodily protest throughout COVID-19 lockdown and described Congress leaders as “habitual offenders.”

“Protests against price rise can be conducted in different ways, including social media,” he stated.

KPCC president D.Ok. Shivakumar, Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah, senior leaders R.V. Deshpande and Dinesh Gundu Rao and legislators participated within the stir in entrance of petrol bunks in Bengaluru and raised slogans against the BJP authorities on the Centre.

Congress has determined to carry protests against gas price hike from June 11 to fifteen at 5,000 petrol bunks.

Mr. Shivakumar instructed mediapersons that petrol costs had been hiked 48 instances since January 2021.
